August 8: Men Transformed by Circe's Wand (Vol. 22, pp. 133-144)
More of Odysseus' adventures today from Homer's "Odyssey." This time, our hero and his crew are stranded on a remote island governed by an enchantress. But the crew ticked off Circe, so she turned them into pigs.

I have also been a regular contributor since 1996 to The American Reporter, the first online-only daily newspaper in America.
I am a 1983 graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and 1997 graduate of Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government. I was also an infantry sergeant in the Massachusetts Army National Guard from 1981 until 1987.
